FACTS : DID YOU KNOW?

That there are almost a million babies being aborted every year?

The Reproductive Health Bill is not pro-abortion.
Actually, the Reproductive Health Bill is Pro-Life it will ensure that the children being brought to the world are wanted and planned by their parents. The Bill will provide couples with education, information and opportunity to plan what they want with their children. The bill will not only keep the family together, but also it will ensure the good life of the children which will be brought to the world. If the bill is passed the educated couple would be able to plan the child’s life and with the education given to the couple, the child will be able to live educated, healthy, free and productive.
Since it is not the child’s fault why he is brought up in the world, couples must make sure that the child will not live a dangerous life which is happening to many children in the Philippines nowadays. Today, we can see many street children begging for food instead of studying, we can see children, selling different items near the roads where they could get hurt, we can see children sleeping on the streets, playing without slippers and drinking dirty water. This must be changed. The life of the child being brought in the world should be carefully planned. By planned it means that, the couple must have enough resources to ensure the life of the child. People must be educated to know that Sex is not for fun. Sex brings life to children. If the couple wants to have sex, it must be protected and they must be sure that they know the consequences to their actions.
According to the opposition, The Reproductive Health Bill, stops the couple from having children.
The Reproductive Health Bill does not do that. It actually helps the family know how much they should have to raise a child of their own or how many children they want. If they want to have 5 children it’s up to them, as long as they know how to be able to take care of their children. The bill is not saying that couples should stop making children, or couples should take contraceptives to lessen the amount of children being brought in the Philippines.
The Bill will give the couple a choice on how they want to live their life. It’s like asking someone how many children does he want?
From my understanding my example would go like this.

Educator : How many children do you want?
Couple : 10
Educator : Will you be able to afford having 10 children
Couple : I guess so.
Educator : Okay, these are the things you need to bring up 10 children. Can you provide these?
Couple : oh, okay. Yes we can provide all the needs of the children, Education, Shelter, Love, Happiness, etc.
Educator : Good.

Well, frankly, it’s not as simple as that, but I hope you get my point. Family Planning is one of the things highlighted in the Reproductive health Bill. Again, the bill is not pro-abortion, but it gives the couple a chance to think about how they will be able to make their family a better one.
