RH Bill No. 5043 Section 2

SEC. 2. Declaration of Policy. – The State upholds and promotes responsible parenthood, informed choice, birth spacing and respect for life in conformity with internationally recognized human rights standards.
The State shall uphold the right of the people, particularly women and their organizations, to effective and reasonable participation in the formulation and implementation of the declared policy.
This policy is anchored on the rationale that sustainable human development is better assured with a manageable population of healthy, educated and productive citizens.
The State likewise guarantees universal access to medically-safe, legal, affordable and quality reproductive health care services, methods, devices, supplies and relevant information thereon even as it prioritizes the needs of women and children, among other underprivileged sectors.
My understanding,
The bill will be exercised to all the people in the Philippines, particularly the couples, parents, women, etc. in order for them to have responsible parenthood.
The reproductive health is a human right, that should include all the people in the Philippines, which include those who are single.
There is gender equality, this accepts that there are more than 2 genders present in the Philippines.
The Philippines will have medically-safe, legal, affordable reproductive health materials, health devices, education, supplies, information and such. This will allow everyone to access these said materials. (Married or not, female or male.)
Why I Agree,
I agree because the Philippines is overflowing with unwanted babies, and those people who cannot stop doing such act should not be discriminated on. Also, these medical supplies will lessen the number of diseases that may spread while doing such acts. Access to the supplies will allow people to have safer sex, which will reduce the number of unwanted children being aborted, sold or killed. This will also protect the women who do not want children but have no choice. From my understanding, being married to someone include having to please your partner. There are a lot of stories saying that this person didn’t want to have this child but she had no choice. We have to lessen that, in order for a child to grow as productive as the people want him to be, he or she should be planned. Parents should know how they should take care of their children when it starts to grow. HINDI PWEDE YUNG BAHALA NA. KUNG MAG KA BABY EDI WALA AKONG MAGAGAWA. I don’t think that’s right. Everyone should know when to have their children, and they should be given a choice whether they want to have their children or not, it’s their life. Nobody should control other people in order to just be able to say that they’re right.
The choices are given to those people who already did the act or planning to do the act. There are many children being born in the Philippines who suffer, and I don’t think that it’s their fault. If pregnancies will not be planned then we will see more children in the streets. There are already a lot, and to tell the truth sometimes I pity them, and sometimes I want to just slap their parents and tell them that they are so stupid to think that these children were born to work for them.
